Comcast Corporation Informative - Just install it already!
KENT, WASHINGTON -- My fiance called back in the end of July to have our cable internet and phone installed for the beginning of August. So far through 4 or 5 visits and about 20 phone calls, we still have no cable internet or phone service. We've had our paperwork 'done wrong', no one showing up for weeks at a time, and just general error after error on the technicians' ends. Supposedly last time the techs came out they'd fixed everything and all we needed to wait for was installation. The install tech comes by today around the promised time on their handy little mailer card, I clear out the area he wants to install the cable and phone jacks, he goes and pokes around for 30 minutes outside and comes back.
"Ummm, we've got a little bit of a problem." (Of course they do!)
From what the install tech told me someone removed the tap to our line so now we have to wait weeks for someone to come out, disable the Comcast in the neighborhood for a few minutes and tap our lines, wait another few weeks for another install tech to come by and install the internet and phone we ordered. NEARLY TWO MONTHS AGO. I can tell you, if anyone else in my area offered hi-speed internet, I would NOT go through Comcast.
What is the point of signing up for the '19.99$/month until 2008' deal if they don't install it until 2008?
