Charter Communications/Sub-Contractors Complaint - Wireless Internet Installation
BOONE, NORTH CAROLINA -- I had wanted wireless internet for quite some time, when my husband decided to surprise me by having it installed one morning about a month ago. I was excited because, I have some back and knee problems, and thought I'd be more comfortable being able to move around. The cable company we use sent out a sub-contractor to do the work. To make a long story shorter, they broke the USB port on my laptop. They never installed the wireless internet, and they charged us $50.00. I contacted the cable company, explaining my problem. We own a home based business and need our printer/fax machine, and now I couldn't use it. They finally (after about 2 weeks) sent out their technicians and installed the wireless. However, my laptops USB port is still broke, therefore, I'm having to go out to print/fax a lot of paperwork, which I'm having to pay for. I want my USB port fixed. I shouldn't have to still be dealing with this issue. It's now been about a month. I'm getting more promises to fix the problem.
I don't want empty promises, I want it fixed. Has anyone else ever had something like this happen to them? I'm thinking about sending them a bill covering my costs for having to go to the local printers shop. Am I being silly about this? I am soooo angry. What do you all think?
