Kaufman's Wedding World Complaint - Misrepresentation of a product

GLEN BURNIE, MARYLAND -- As a consumer from your state, I felt it was my responsibility to bring to your attention the following incident.
In October 2002, my friend saw the exact color dresses for her wedding at Kaufman's Wedding World in Glen Burnie, Maryland. We put down 100.00 for these dresses. My dress stated on the price tag, along with the price, that the color was 'coral', so that's what we ordered. When my dress came back, I didn't have the opportunity to check the sample dress that I tried on four months earlier, so I left with the dress. Well, my friend, the bride had a swatch of color and she noticed that my dress was the wrong color. We immediately contacted the store manager, Andrea and the next week we went to the store. After comparing the dresses, the manager noticed that it was a huge difference in the dresses. The sample dress was tagged incorrectly by the staff at Kaufman's, the sample dress is actually 'desert coral' and not 'coral'. Kaufman's misrepresented the product. The only way we found out the correct color is because I asked the manager to check to see the actual color of the dress. At that time, the dress was still tagged incorrectly.
The District manager offered no real solution. He wanted me to either purchase another dress or exchange my new dress which still had the tags on it with the sample dress that is a size 18W and had stains on it. My dress is a size 20 and it's too big. He also wanted me to get the dress cleaned and altered at my own expense.
As a resolution, I would like the following:
We tried to call and E-mail Kaufman's at their website, www.weddingworld.com. Because of their lack of concern and unwillingness to call us back, we had to have my dress made. So, now I have a dress that I cannot use. I have paid 176.87 of my hard-earned money to a company that cannot call their customers back when they have problems. The salesperson that ordered our dresses no longer works there. She ordered the bride the wrong dress ( she happens to like it, but if not that would have to be re-ordered) and my dress was ordered wrong. I would like to have a refund of my expenses for purchasing this dress that you have misrepresented. I don't want a store credit, because I will never enter another Kaufman's Wedding world.
