Southwest Airlines Complaint - Insults By Means Of Prejudice
FLORIDA -- My 2 daughters, my son, my wife and I flew from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale yesterday with South West Airlines 2525 at approximately 1pm and from the moment I entered the plane one of the stewardesses displayed improper and unprofessional behavior throughout the duration of the flight. I was asked to stand for no reason and while concerned in silence a remark was addressed to me that gave me incentive to realize that the individual was immersed in racism. A short moment after I was insulted to have a seat, when I was never informed of the reason for having to stand. While announcing the safety instructions the individual laughed with vulgarity on the p.A system as if she and a few of her friends were on a night out to a club.
Last but not least before the aircraft landed and all passengers were asked to shut down all electronic devices, I shut my compact disc player off. It takes 30 seconds for the screen to blank out after shutting down to go in off mode, seeing that there's no off button. The same lady happens to stop to my aisle and insisted that I shut my player off after repeatedly telling her that my player was off. I handed it to her so that she may shut it down. While conducting a huge spectacle she snatched the player out of my hand pushing the buttons with aggression, then uttering how do you shut this thing off and I replied it is off. After not pressing anything the screen went blank then she said oh now its off and practically threw my player to me. People with insecure behaviors should not be allowed to deal with the public and passengers should not have to subject themselves to such aggressive attitudes.
I think something ought to be done about that. I don't think on board a Southwest Airline is a safe enough environment for my family and I to ever travel as long as we live.
