Wyndham Inner Harbor Baltimore Hotel Complaint - Service at the Lounge

Review by wholik on 2003-05-04
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND -- After checking in early evening at the Inner Harbor Wyndham in Baltimore we went into the lounge for some food and drinks. When asked if this would be cash we requested the charges to be billed to my room. At that time we were advised we would have to provide a credit card and when paying the bill the card would be returned at that time we could charge to the room.I wanted to show my key but this would not be excepted. Asking the bartender the reaon for this proceedure, he advied "There are to many doors and people will leave without paying". A rather sad excuse for an hotel that bills itself 4 stars. I felt this to be an insult having never run into anything like it. For the reminder of my stay all my meals and drinks were taken across the street at the Radisson Hotel were the service was excellent as one would expect from a hotel of this class.
