Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. Complaint - Poor Service after the Sale
I have purchased an HLS6186wx/xaa Television in March of 2007. I began getting black lines and a distorted picture in the beginning of September. I called the Samsung Support and filed a claim. The girl was most helpful and forwarded my warranty problem to Ross TV. This was on 9/14/07. I received a call from Ross TV on 9/18/07. They advised me they would not be able to come out until 9/27/07. What could I do, I have to go with them. They showed up on 9/27/07 and said that a part had to be ordered and it would take 5 days. I called Ross TV and asked once the part comes in am I going to have to wait another 2 weeks before they come back to fix it. They said they didn't know until the repairman came back to the shop. No sooner do I get off the phone with the shop, the repairman comes back to the house and says he has to take the TV back to the shop to repair it. Some coincidence. I must say with Samsung, service after the sale is terrible. I have a large GE screen Mitsubishi Projection TV that is over 20 years old and has never been service and still works great. Also I own a ten year old 36' Sony again no problems. I buy the Samsung on a recommendation of a friend and it is a joke, I spoke with your customer care department and I was told there was nothing they could do. OK fine, once the TV is returned it is going up for sale and let some other sucker own a Samsung and deal with the headaches.
I will never purchase or recommend another Samsung Product!!! So I'm back to square one having to go out and look for a new TV, since service after the sale should mean something.
