CCI Industries Complaint - Product quality & customer service
WE recently had an Allen Block wall built on our property. We are very disappointed with the job.
Our contractor did as best as was possible but the product was very poor. The blocks were not all the same size and color match was very poor, also Some blocks were not square so where they met on each side there were gaps. After the wall was finished I started on 3 other small walls to tie in all our landscaping. I soon learned what our contractor had to put up with during construction. The corner blocks that are required for outside 90 degree walls were 3/16 of an inch shorter requiring lots of playing around with and use of shim material and Pl premium adhesive. [NOT AS SHOWN ON THEIR WEBSITE]
The website proclaims that you just have to be very precise with the first course of blocks and then its just like piling up leggo. Not so.On phoning the company in Richmond British Columbia I was told that the head of the Technical Sales Team would call me back by the next business day.
2 weeks later I am still waiting and I would like to finish my walls before winter. When walking around a new complex being built in our town I noticed a wall being built with Keystone blocks. They fit together so nicely that the wall looks like cast in place concrete. It is exceptionally well manufactured and my wife and I are very sorry we did not use Keystone as our wall will be with us until that fateful day when I guess it won't matter anymore.
