Newegg Informative - LCD Monitors Sold by NewEgg

Review by Furko on 2007-10-03
CHRISTIANA, DELAWARE -- I cannot believe folks are actually recommending NewEgg. What a rip-off company. They do not stand behind anything they sell, Man! Try buying an LCD monitor -- any LCD monitor -- from them. They cannot or would not tell you up front, for instance, whether the LCD panel is the matte anti-glare or the shiny/glossy "BrightView" type, and whether the bezel is matte black or high-gloss piano black. I tried finding this out via telephone and via E-mail -- to no avail. This crucial user information is not listed anywhere on their products specs area and you cannot tell just by looking at the many photos. Yet, you cannot return to them any monitor you buy from NewEgg for any reason whatsoever.

Better deal with TigerDirect, then, as they at least offer on many of their computer monitors with a 30-day exchange/refund period. Not with NewEgg -- you buy any monitor from them, and it is yours forever, Baby. Shiny LCD panel and reflective piano-black bezel notwithstanding.

Try the manufacturer's web site. It may have more info. I do like newegg, but this is something I have been telling them: ask for more information from the manufacturers. They tell me they only list what information they recieve, but I have said multiple times they sould decide whether it is enough info to sell the product.
