Lustine Toyota Dodge Complaint - Lied To And Ripped Off

Review by cowboy265 on 2007-10-05
14211 JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY WOODBRIDGE, VIRGINIA -- Went to Lustine Toyota Dodge in Woodbridge VA on the 1st of September to trade in my wifes Jeep compass. Our sales man ron banks great. The trouble started when they low balled us on our trade in took 2 hours to fix that then went to finance and we looked at a Dodge Grand Caravan SXT they told use we were approved for a loan from capital one and what our rate was and what our payments were and that one was not due for 45 days. We signed the papers they trasferred our tags from the old jeep to the new Van and left with the van. About 26 days later my wife got a call from the finance dept and they stated the points had changed and we needed to come down and sign different papers. We went back there and found out this was not the case the lady in finance had lied to my wife and they said they needed the van back the loan did not go through. We found out they had ghosted the loan and lied. Now not only do we not have the van they put use 2 months behind on the Jeep and what a rip off stay away from the dealership bad news the owner should be ashamed of himself they even cashed my down payment check when we returned the Van we found out they never notified the DMV and had the tags chaned so we drove around for a month with tags still regestered to the jeep.we asked if they were going to call the DMV they said that was our problem.

We are seeking legal assistance against them as they have damaged our credit even more.

There are several instances on here that I feel like I have already read the same complaints?

From the way you all posted your comments you must be dealers and have ghosted car contracts before ya think.

YOU NEED TO STOP CRYING AND FIX YOUR CREDIT. FOR YOUR INFORMATION, ON AVERY BUYERS ORDER ON EVERY DEALER IN VA, MD, DC THERE IS A STIPULATION THAT SAYS AND QUOTE: "THIS SALE IS CONDITIONED UPON APPROVAL OF YOUR PROPOSED RETAIL INSTALLMENT CONTRACT AS SUBMITTED TO OR THROUGH THE DEALER. IF THAT PROPOSED RETAIL INSTALLMENT CONTRACT IS NOT APPROVED UNDER THE TERMS AGREED TO WITH THE DEALER, ALL PARTIES MAY CANCEL THE SALE AND ALL TRADES AND MONEYS MUST BE REFUNDED".
OBVIOUSLY, YOU DID NOT READ YOUR BUYERS ORDER. I WILL SUGGEST THAT YOU, INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING AND SENDING CRAP TO THE NEWS DEPARTMENTS, READ YOUR STUFF AND DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITHOUT READING IT FIRST.
THIS BUTT WHOOPING IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY ME!!!!!!

For thetruth1 You sound like a car dealer has done this to person that buy cars and cant type must type in all caps ya think the point is when they say tell you are approved and then lie to get you to come back by saying the points have changed and then when you get there that is not the case. they way you were spouten off like you must have done this ya think and by the way get a life you must work for lustine HMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Hey thetruth1 you do know ghosting a contract is unethacle and by the way when you change tags to another car and dont tell the DMV that is illegal sure the DMV board would look at one and may pull for suspend there dealer tags and yes i called them.
