Spirit Airlines Informative - Scam - $9 Fare Club

$9 Fare Club
Review by pathcrx on 2007-10-09
Do not sign up for the $9 fare club for Spirit Airline. It is a scam. I never once found a deal and after 3 months they charge you $29.95. I tried to contact Spirit airlines and it took me 20 minutes to find a contact phone number on their website. When I called, they made me email a complaint to them. They told me that it was in the terms of agreement and wouldn't refund my money.

So I wouldn't recommend this club.

The $9 fares appear on Tuesdays & Fridays about 3pm. But they get snapped up quickly. Lots of complaints online about the email notices arriving well after the sale has begun. But there are also many who have found great deals. They say you have to be patient. The TERMS clearly state that membership fees are not refundable.

To cancel the membership you must write to:

FREE SPIRIT Member Services
Spirit Airlines, Inc
2800 Executive Way
Miramar, FL 33025

The cancellation process takes 4-6 weeks.

If you get their credit card and use it at least one a month, the $9.00 club is free
