Aptela Inc. Complaint - Refusal to accept return merchandise.

VIENNA, VIRGINIA -- I agreed to try Aptela for providing voice over internet phone service and phones. After many discussions I settled on a particular service and 10 phones. I was satisfied with my level of confidence that the service and product would be to my satisfaction. More importantly, I was told that I had a 30 day no questions asked return of the phones and cancellation of service. It was now time to talk price. I thought the price of the phones was too much so, the sales representative suggested I consider used phones. He went on to explain that he could offer used phones that were in perfect working condition as they were simply brand new returns.

The price was fair, so I agreed to have them shipped. Upon receiving them, I was not happy with the features and quality of the phones. I called and asked Aptela to accept the returned phones and cancel my service. Aptela representatives surprised me, telling me that because they were used phones, I could not return them. I asked for them to show me where this was explained and agreed to by me and they still to this date have not because they do not exist. I was never provided anything explaining this policy. This tactic needs to exposed. Buyer beware.

Thankfully, my credit card company is expected to apply this charge on my account.
