Family Hyundai Compliment - Trying To Buy Our First Car

TINLEY PARK, ILLINOIS -- This was the first time in my life we went into a car dealership and were treated like kings. I took my daughter in to buy her first car. She has been saving for a year. We walked into the store and were greeted by a guy wearing a suit who greeted us and was very courteous. He asked how he could make our day today. My daughter laughed when she heard that. She said that was a great line to make us feel comfortable. Not to bore you with the whole story the man was the sales manager Frank P he got us an informative salesperson who helped us pick out a car is name was also frank. The manager came over sat we us went over our purchase explained it all and we left with a car. It was by far the best experience I have ever had buying a car they really took the time to make it right.

Thanks to everyone at the dealership for making it a great first purchase.

Not so fast. Please keep us posted 6 months later when you need some servicing on the Hyundai and you take your car to the dealership that treated you like kings. They may have treated you like kings when you bought the new car, but we'll see their true color when you bring in your car for repair or service at their dealership.

MRM is quite right but it goes for almost any dealer. I had a similar experience with a Subaru dealer. We were treated like royalty until it came to service. Then we were treated like an annoyance. A simple oil change turned into a nightmare of them doing work never authorized which I refused to pay for.

That may be the case at some dealerships, but believe it or not, as I have been saying over and over and over again, there are some great dealerships out there. Dealerships that deliver good service Before, during, and after the sale. Give us chance! Stop being so negative all the time!

Agreed Aerocave..there are some good ones out there, they are just few and far between. Thanks to the OP for posting a positive message and I hope you continue to receive great service from them!

Did they give you the royal treatment for purchase price of your new car? How big the difference between the purchase price and the invoice price +/- dealer’s kickback.

I never purchase a new car from the first dealership. I check at least 2 more to make sure I get the best offer.

I say give praise where its due. They gave you great service and that's what you're sharing here. Good for you. :D

I just hope you wont get disappointed when it's time to replace them auto parts under the warranty. Crossing my fingers for you. :D

i cant understand why people are just so skeptical about good deals or good service. why dont you look at the other end of things. such as how many times people take advantage of car dealers. fraud deal or trading in cars with bad motors or bad trans. it is always the car dealer who is bad right never the consumer. even better why dont you go and negotiate with the sears when you buy a drill. we always look at thing in a bad way just like always talking about bad dealerships. somebody post something postive and everyone jumps on this person. just a thought!!!

just to give an update i have been back a few times for my oil changes. everything has been great. also yes There really were 2 guys named Frank there and they are both still there. i am just amazed about all the comments i have gotten about my post. thanks for the input but yes i am happy with everything.
