The Firm Complaint - Exercise video

Review by roadends on 2007-10-12
HOLLAND, MICHIGAN -- The firm is an exercise video frequently advertised on TV.

I attempted to order using their toll free number.

This toll free number gives no option whatsoever to cancel the order, speak to a representative or make changes.

It seemed like a scam to me after I had given my credit card number. I attempted to cancel the total order and speak with a representative so I wouldn't be sent "the extras" they wanted to offer... i.e, vitamins, extra tapes.
Guess what - you bet - cancel doesn't work - zero out to speak to someone doesn't. I NEVER even selected option for extra items, BUT you're right you're sent them anyway.

Also, to return the items now they chage you postage.

The sad thing is I wanted the exercise tapes and I like them. I didn't order the "extra" items, received and returned, but stuck with "POSTAGE FEES".

It's a SCAM...

Dispute it with your credit card company if you can't get the merchant to cooperate.

fup: for some the tape serves as a motivator.

FYI - these tapes are always seen at garage sales, thrift stores and the like! check those places before ordering, and you get a much better price with no hassle. also try freecylce.com - it's a website to GIVE & GET free things!

I did order the product. After receiving decided to return. Called customer service and got return auth #, sent back. Just noticed charge of $25 on my credit card. Called again - they charged me for web club membership because I did not specifically cancel (I guess saying I want to return everything is not enough!). I have now cancelled and have been refused a refund of the bogus charge. I never even logged on to the site! I am disputing charge with my cc company, but BEWARE! They are brutal!
