Cingular/AT&T Complaint - Customer Service

Review by mad momm on 2007-10-13
FLINT, MICHIGAN -- I have been a loyal Cingular customer for over 10 years! Last year I bought a "to Go" phone for my husband, because he was always going on mission trips and taking my phone. I wanted my phone back because I drive an old car. Needless to say, I went for the 100$ minutes. He never used half of them. I wanted to transfer the remaining minutes to my go phone, before they expired. One customer service rep told me if the phone had been broken, stolen or lost I could do that. But since I had told him the truth, he couldn't help me. The next customer service person said that the previous customer service rep didn't know what he was talking about. There was no way to do this. Even when I really pleaded, she said she could give me 7 additional days of talk time. I have 73 HOURS of time left.

If we hadn't used it in 12 months, what was the point. I told her I would go to a new company when my minutes expired. She only said, "Sorry to hear that." and hung up.

Seems they really don't care anymore.
Good luck.

There is no loyalty when it comes to prepaid service. Since there is no contract there is nothing to keep you with them and you can leave whenever you please. I have a go phone and the only way I can save my minutes is to buy more minutes. It is a part of the prepaid service and is clearly stated in the terms and conditions of the service.
