Rheem Complaint - Rheem water heater failures

BEAUMONT, TEXAS -- In the past 5 months I have purchased two Rheem 50 gallon gas water heaters and both failed after two months of use.It is not practical to return the water heater to the vendor (LOWES) because this is a major chore to drain and removed the heater. Both units failed because the thermocouples failed. Lowes does not stock the thermocouples. Rheem were of no help and the only option was to drain and un plumb the complete heater and return it to Lowes. Being without hot water over a weekend was not fun and calling a plumber turned out to be extremely expensive. The thermocouple is a $11:28 part. It seems strange two brand new Rheem water heaters both purchased at Lowes, both failed because thermocouples. Possibly a bad batch of thermocouples was to blame (Made in Mexico).

In the future I will not purchase Rheem products because of the attitude and service displayed by Rheem. Cold showers suck.

This should have been covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

I'm surprised Rheem wouldn't cover something like this in their warranty.........I would get in touch with their corporate offices

No one seems to care ,or take the time anymore!What happened to our country ? . if its not made in Mexico ,Its made in China
