The Doctor's House Informative - Bad food

Review by oldie on 2007-10-15
Recently a group of 30 seniors went out to LUNCH at The Doctor's House in Kleinburg, Ontario. I had eaten there before and had always enjoyed the food. Well this was a eye opener. They had changed the menu( We had made reservation for this lunch from their menu weeks ago) The starter was o.k. The main course came. It came across to me that the food was already cooked and on the plates and was then re-heated(the plates were hot) the Grilled Veal Scallopini was very tough (It looked grey) I could not find any woodland mushrooms and no red wine sauce. The Sea food Risotto looked like rice soup and no Jumbo Tiger Shrimps or Scallops, just some calamari pieces. No Baked Alaskan Lemon Meringue tart either. Why were we not informed that the menu had changed? Just because we were a group of seniors does not mean that we had to have second rate food. It was not a pleasant experience for all of us.

To go to a restaurant like the Doctor's House one expect the best.We did not go there because it was the cheapest place.

I was also at that luncheon and my risotto was just rice soup with three empty mussel shells and about a half dozen calamari rings in place of the jumbo shrimp and scallops. The dessert ordered was also substituted . Just because we were a party of seniors does not mean that we tolerate bad service and food
