Jim Coleman Toyota Complaint - Scratched paint/theft from car

Review by faraway on 2007-10-15
BETHESDA, MARYLAND -- I took my Van in there a week ago to get a door problem fixed. Upon completion, there were some nicks on the door's paint, but the tech flatly denied being responsible for that. Also when I got home, I found that 2 wireless headphones for the entertainment system had been removed from the van... Jim Coleman Toyota is denying responsibility for this theft, though they're the only ones who were in my van, other than my immediate family...

Seems to be their MO... deny deny deny.

Me too Alley...and many places take no responsibility for what is inside your car when you take it in for service,it says so on the form you sign when you turn your car over.Next time, read the form and remove anything you care about from your vehicle before you have it serviced.

I would file a claim in Small Claim court and make them come and tell the magistrate how they aren't responsible. I bet you get new headphones before it ever hits a courtroom.

Anyone ever notice the big sign in every service department that says "We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle". Now you know why.
