Hoover Company Complaint - Do Not Buy
METTER, GEORGIA -- In March 2007 I purchased a Hoover Wind Tunnel Self-Propelled vacuum cleaner. When we first opened box and used vacuum cleaner it sort of made a noise but immediately stopped after vacuuming. Thought maybe it was just me. In one week a belt broke and I replaced it. Then it seemed like I was doing this monthly. Now in October I cannot used vacuum at all..It is make some god awful noise and rollers will not engage. At the time of purchase I did not buy the extended warranty through Lowe's because I have always been a loyal Hoover customer and felt confident that I was purchasing an excellent vacuum cleaner. Boy I did I get a fooling. I contacted Lowe's and explained my problem they stated for me to contact Hoover and Hoover should be able to give me a confirmation number and they would gladly exchange vacuum cleaner. I contacted Hoover and they stated they do not give out confirmation numbers but did give me a service dealer in Savannah GA. That is seventy-five miles away.Shipping or GAS?? I feel i need a new brush roller and beater bar. This cleaner has not been abused in any shape,form,or fashion. I feel this product should have lasted longer than 7 months. No, I did not purchase extended warranty because I thought I had a good product.Do not buy unless you are planning on changing belts every week or so. I feel like I have enough experience to qualify to work at Hoover.
Now I am out of 224.00 and still no vacuum that works...
