Hewlett-Packard Company Complaint - Replacing modem & hardrive on new computer
SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI -- We bought our computer in March of 2000 and bought the extended 3 year warranty. We paid over $1500 for the computer and $170 for the warranty.
We used the warranty once to replace the modem.
Then this April the whole hard drive went bad and had to be replaced. The 3 year warranty had just expired a few weeks before, so we had to pay $250 to get the hard drive replaced.
We feel that for the money we paid, our computer should have lasted longer than just 3 years. We don't mind paying more for a product if we think it is going to last. We went with a Hewlett Packard, because of their reputation and because we thought we were getting a quality product. We know better now.
