RVB Systems - Track'em Software Complaint - Horrible Customer Service
CARY, NORTH CAROLINA -- Our company was looking for a inventory tracking program that fit into a small business budget. We came across a company called RVB Systems Group that offered a program called TRACK'Em. We called and spoke to Bob Brown and explained our needs. We asked specific questions and Bob answered each question with assurance that his program met our needs. We ordered over $1600 worth of his program and supplies. I asked Bob what kind of technical assistance does the program come with. He said he offered 30 day technical support. We asked if we could purchase additional support, he charged us $50 for another 30 days support. When we received the software (8 days later)and scan gun we attempted to install and set it up. what we did not realize and was not disclosed to us was that this software program was written by Bob Brown.
Know anyone who writes his own programs knows his program, but a normal person does not always get where the writer is coming from. Track'em inventory system was very confusing to set up. We called and were treated very rudely and insulted. The next day Bob explained that his friend had passed away and he was having a bad day.
He than helped us to explain his program (which is written like none I have ever seen or used - very backwards from normal applications)
We finally got the hang of his Track'em inventory program and started putting it to work. Then one day the scan barcode gun goes crazy and starts messing everything up. We called Bob and he told us the problem was something we did wrong. Really? than why did it work for the first few weeks? So we had to redo our entire program. So today we tried to export our data. We clicked the export button and it open a new window the open button. Where is the save button? So we keep trying and finally after half an hour, we call RVB Systems. Bob explained that you have to click the open button when you want to save something. That is so backwards! How would anyone have known that. Then he says your technical support is over, please don't call anymore. We have called 4 times in 2 months and each time it was because his software is messed up and backwards from the rest of the world not because we are stupid or lazy!
RVB systems is rude and lacks empathy for their customers who don't have their heads backwards enough to understand this lame program. BTW, the program did NOT do what RVB systems said it would. It is nothing more than electronic clipboard. It does not tell you what your inventory is from the scanner. You have to go to your computer to look every single item up. It is poorly written and very confusing. In comparison to other programs, the value was not worth it. I could have spent a couple of hundred more and had a more friendly and more in depth program. I would warn any company that is considering using RVB systems and the TRACK'em program. Shop around. this company is only in it for your one time sale and could care less about your future or the future of their company.
