McDonald's Corporation Complaint - Stupid online monopoly scam - Promotions

Promotions - Complaint
Review by Stew.old on 2007-10-17
ANYTOWN, OKLAHOMA -- I always start everyday with a Diet Coke usually from OnCue but since the Monopoly promotion I've been getting my morning "SODA" from McDonalds so I could collect monopoly game pieces. First some education... Here are the rare pieces that is if you have any of these consider yourself a winner -- Boardwalk, Pennsylvania, Ventor Ave, Kentucky Ave, Tennessee Ave, Virginia Ave, Vermont Ave, Short Line or Mediterranean Ave.

So I'm collecting quite a few pieces. I've won 7 McFlurrys and 8 or so Fries but no sandwiches. I don't eat ice cream or fries so bummer. You can also enter the code on your pieces online. Each piece entitles you to roll of the dice in online version of monopoly where you win cash and other fabulous prizes. Sounds good until you actually try to play the game online. It freezes up all the time after you enter your number which is like microscopic and requires me to put on my reading glasses.. so after the freeze up I reload then it tells me the number has already been entered... maybe so but I didn't get to roll the dice which is not fair. I'm not loving this game because I'm getting cheated out of my dice rolls. That's not cool... I'd expect that kind of treatment from Burger King or Wendy's but not McDonalds.

I WANT COMPENSATION. A 25 dollar McArch card would make me McHappy. That's all.

Stew, we had the same exact problem last night. We were out late and were thirsty so we got two large drinks. We got the pieces and went to use them online and it froze up. We loaded the page again and when we put the codes in they said they had already been used. Far as I'm concerned they can take their Monopoly and shove it, I'll stick to the board game we have in the garage!

Lets all collaborate our pieces on this review or on a community thread... For fun of course! =)

Don't you guys have better things to do with your time?

I wish I had a new F-22 Raptor to spend my extra time in.

ejack, I'm a mom. I spend most of my time changing diapers, cleaning, and volunteering at school. So no, I have nothing better to do with my time. Unless you count me day dreaming about me being on a deserted island with nothing but some fat chick named Brunhilda to give me constant back rubs and an endless supply of frozen margaritas and nachos.

I don't eat at McCancer's and don't play the game but I will give my buddy Stew a big (VH)!

Principissa...your job alone is demanding and I commend you on it! :) If you need a back rub..come to Eglin AFB where we have a licensed massage therapist on site.

ejack, i make steak dinners for good back rubs.

Stew, would a nice specially prepared fish sammie delivered from a certain SE Indiana location make you whole?
Posted by UrFriendlyPirate on 2007-10-18:
OR would driving around in a beater truck with no AC be better?
Posted by shawnp80 on 2007-10-18:
SODA, SODA, SODA. Pop is the noise that comes out of E-jacks butt.

Stewart, sounds like you have a legitimate "beef" my friend. Call corporate and explain your situation. I am sure that a gift card would be in store and while you have them on the line tell them that certain members here are pretty concerned about the "watered down" sauce on the FOF's. Thanks, good luck and you get a big fat (VH)!!!

McDonald’s PlayatMcD.com: The online game freezes after I enter a number. I click “SUBMIT” and then if freezes; never says ‘CLICK AND ROLL THE DICE.” So then, I close out, re-enter, and it tells me the number has already been entered. I’m cheated out of rolling the dice. This has already happened 3 times to me.
