General Motors Informative - 2005 Seneca Motor Home by GM
WILLIAMSTOWN, NEW JERSEY -- This review is to let people know that when purchasing a General Motors product, they may run into a brick wall when it comes to getting service. We purchased a 2005 Seneca motor home in June of 2005, and had problems on first trip out. Engine spewed black smoke, engine light came on, and would not go over 2000 rpm's. Took it to certified GM truck repair facility, and were told nothing was wrong with it. In first year we owned vehicle, it was in shop for a total of 4 months. Several months later same problem appeared. In August of 2007 had to have vehicle towed 95 miles to Pittsburgh dealer, and could find no problem again. In October started out on another trip, made it 4 miles and problem was back. Spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get someone to help us resolve this 2 year problem, and got nowhere.
The only redeeming portion of the GM corp. is roadside assistance. Please think twice before buying a GM product, as they're attitude seems to be "once you bought it, you own it", problems and all.
