Fox Hills Towing Complaint - overcharged for slow, bad repairs

Review by grjash on 2003-06-06
INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA -- Avoid this Business!

Fox Hills Auto Center / Towing
712 W Florence Ave,
Inglewood, CA 90301

This company is a contract towing service that
the Auto Club of Southern California (AAA) uses.

This company was called by the Auto Club after I was in
an accident. As it turned out, I should not have agreed to have
the car towed to this facility for repair. It's now clear to me
that this place could never get any business
any other way than by bringing it in via tow trucks.

I tried to resolve these complaints with the state
Bureau of Automotive Repair, but to no avail.

I was not given a copy of the written estimate.
Although I authorized some more work over
the phone, I was charged in excess of $200
greater than the amount that I agreed to pay.

The work kept being put off for various reasons
and took about 10 days more than I had originally
been told.

A tire gauge I left in the car was missing when I
picked up the car.

They supposedly replaced the bottle that holds windshield
wiper fluid, but the system no longer works.
