Review by tweety_1 on 2003-06-08
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY -- I was working with a represenative in april on a hardship case on my mortage due to a deliquent account because I was involved in a car wreck, I was hit by a drunk driver, I was off work for 5 weeks trying to recuperate from a injury to my neck and back that kept me off work.We were only living on my husbands income and our house payment is more than half of it, not including utilities and food for my 3 children, I was told by one of the emplyees that they could get me a hardship loan where it would lower my payments for 3 months and put my past due payment to back of the loan, I made the payment that was asked of me, and never heard a word , I kept calling everyday and also leaving messages for them to call me concerning my loan, noone ever called, I even left messages with managment , never heard from anyone, I then get a phone call demanding full payment that is due because they say I only been making half payments, T told the woman I had been working with a certain indivisual on my loan for a hardship case and she set me up on lower payments, she did,nt believe me and demanded i make a paymeny by phone imediatley, so I did, The girl whom was suppose to work on my hardship case still hasnt called, I,m still getting threating phone calls. I even left work early to try and get in touch with her somehow, and got in trouble and jeperdizing my job.I first talked with this women the 29 of april and it is now june 8, If i did,nt get the loan she should of least called me so i could of been working on a differant solution if any but instead she left me hanging and has upset me so bad I have been having anxiety attacks worring myself sick if i will loose my home, I guess when I die from the stress she will then decide to call me back. I feel this shows very bad buisness for household, and shows they are not good for their word, at least i know i,am.

I used to work for Household Auto Finance in the collections department. My only advice is to get out of any household loan/credit line immediately! Sever all ties with this company as soon as you possibly can.

Take some of the money you're paying HFC and see a lawyer.
