Edy's/Dryers Compliment - So Good!
MADISONVILLE, KENTUCKY -- I was at the grocery store yesterday to get a gallon of milk when the desperate need for some ice cream came over me.
For a long time now I have been having a love affair with two hippies from Vermont named Ben and Jerry. Their Chunky Monkey and Karmel Sutra ice creams have gotten me through some rough times. And their cookie dough and New York Super Fudge Chunk have helped me celebrate many joyous nights where my husband has taken the kids out and I was left to watch my subtitled kung fu movies in my jammies.
Everything was great until I came upon Pumpkin Pie ice cream from Edy's. It was like eating a pie, without making the pie! I crushed up some gingersnaps and put some whipped cream on it and I was in the coldest part of heaven.
My husband does not like anything pumpkin at all and we were fighting over the bowl. Which is a lot for him considering he hates pumpkin and the only ice cream flavor he likes is vanilla. So for him to like it was a shock.
Sadly when I looked online they only offer this flavor seasonally. So once the pumpkin pie is gone I will resume my normal love for Ben and Jerry's.
To anyone who likes ice cream and pumpkin pie, please try this. It's good!
