Pet Depot of McKinney, Texas Complaint - Selling dogs as registered, pure bred when not

Review by leaps n bounds on 2007-10-23
MESQUITE, TEXAS -- I have complained to the store, owner, BBB, Attorney General's office and others trying to get proof that my puppy is as the store stated "full blood, registered" with no avail. Owner will not return calls, letters or BBB complaint.

Have asked for proof that they are not running a puppy mill and they don't want to answer - that's my answer.

Never buy your animals from a pet store. They are usually shipped in from puppy mills. Go to your local shelter and adopt or find a reputable breeder in your area. When my mom bought her first boston terrier she checked the AKC website and found a registered breeder 4 hours away from her and got her dog from there. The second boston she got she adopted from a boston terrier rescue group in PA. Something you may want to check out if you ever want to get another dog.

I second that! Don't spend that money on a puppy mill pet, save a life! There are an unbelievable amount of purebred rescues out there!
