Traffic Surfer Informative - Traffic.... What Traffic???

Review by howigetby on 2007-10-23
UNKNOWN -- Signed up for their traffic exchange service and upon registration was offered the "opportunity" to upgrade the service (naturally this was a one-time only offer) so I made the mistake of subscribing for the fee of $18.97 per month.

Upon using the service (as a free member, because they never actually upgraded my membership even though they accepted my money), I discovered that there was only 1 other website in the exchange. (Probably belongs to the owner of the traffic exchange.)

The credits I earned (viewing the one and only other website in the exchange about 62 times in a row) never got used because there wasn't anybody else there to view my website. Owner refused to respond to my request for a refund.

Howigetby, your complaint above is not very descriptive of the problem you are facing.

Ok, a traffic exchanger is a website that is used to send traffic to one's own website. This is done by surfing the other websites in the exchange. Each time you visit another website in the exchange you earn credits which are redeemed when other members of the exchange visit your website. So, member A visits member B's website and earns credit for that visit. Now member A is entitled to a visit from another member of the exchange.

I paid to upgrade at the site mentioned in my complaint (upgrade is good for 1000 surfing credits plus a higher surfing for credits ratio).

However, there was only 1 website in the exchange besides mine. And I never got any visits to my site.

Being somewhat in that type of business I did a bit of research and found they run 0.0000055% in overall Internet traffic. For a traffic building web site that is about as bad as you can get, it's next to nothing. In comparison Yahoo runs at over 27%. I might suggest you spend your hard earned money with Yahoo or Google so you can get some real traffic to your site. (VH post)
