24 Hour Fitness Complaint - Sleazy management and rip-off billing practices
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- 24 hour fitness is the worst. I was harassed by a psycho trainer at a club where I had been a member for 17 years. When I complained to the manager, wrote several letters to corporate and finally hired an attorney, they evicted me and said I was harassing the ugly, old trainer. Get this, a 5'2" 110 woman harassing a big, ugly, old dude!!!
Interesting to note, I had been a member of a club they had bought out, Family Fitness (was great) and my membership fees were dirt cheap, $7.00 a month and I actually used the club on a regular basis. So I was dispensable. It is all about the sales and money. They want to sign up the type of members who show up for a couple of weeks and quit but keep paying for a membership that they "will use one of these days."
One other thing, after 24 hour fitness "evicted" me for "harassing" the ugly, old trainer (who still looks in my windows as he knows where I live) they continued to bill me for a few months. I called customer service but they still continued to charge me. I had to send a certified, return receipt letter requesting my account be closed, which cost more than my membership.
It is all about sales and sales quotas. I would rather go to buy a used car.
Interesting to note, one of the "trainers" used to sell cars.
