Yahoo Music Unlimited Complaint - The yahoo thiefs - Music unlimited

Review by EnemytoYahoo on 2007-10-26
When the transfer of Music box to Yahoo happened, I believe many people where caught in the same trap I was. 71.88 was taken or stolen from my point of view from my acct by yahoo for a renewal fee that I didn't opt for. The 3 yahoo rep and 1 supervisor that I had spoken to on 10/09/07 told me that I was legally bound to pay a renewal fee, in the same breath the supervisor told me that they had sent a reminder to my yahoo mail acct to remind me of the transaction. The last email I received at the time from Yahoo was on 08/20/07. 2 months prior to yahoo stealing my money.

When I had calmed down enough to speak to another rep, I called back and was told that my acct was cancelled (which I ask to be done) and that a refund would be sent out 5 to 10 days, he also gave me a confirmation # to support what he was saying.

Today 10/26/07 I called yahoo and spoke to yet another rep and another supervisor this one named Brent, who told me that their was a "miscommunication" and that I would not be receiving my money back.

I asked him why if a rep had told me that I would be refunded, give me a confirmation # that a internet giant such as Yahoo wouldn't keep the word of their rep. He once again explained to me that I wouldn't be getting my money back.

So I say to watch out for the internet giant, because they will squash you under there stinky feet, and never look back at the carnage.

I am not saying you were not screwed over by Yahoo but it seems there are parts of this story missing? $71.88 is a large and very odd amount for Yahoo Music, was there something else getting paid for in the $71.88?

Use Bearshare to download music for free.

I had Music Match for a little while before Yahoo took over. I received the warning email before the switch. I canceled right away since my Win98SE wasn't compatible with there systems. I don't believe that there was a way to call them, I communicated through emails only, I never had any problems. $71.88 does seem like a lot for music downloads.
