EA Games Compliment - Awesome Tech Support

Review by Principissa on 2007-10-26
MADISONVILLE, KENTUCKY -- I bought a copy of The Sims 2 H&M Fashion Stuff for my computer. Sadly this is what the bored mommy does when the kids are asleep and the housework is done. Plays video games.

I went to install it on my computer and it kept coming up with an error message. So I did all the steps and re-installed the game and none of the items that came with the game showed up in my computer.

I called EA Technical Support and spoke with an extremely friendly and professional representative name Joe. I explained to him what the problem was and he informed me that the copy I have may be corrupted in some form.

He advised me not to return it to the store, but instead send a copy of the receipt along with all the packaging to EA Games and they will provide me with a new copy of the game.

I thought it was too good to be true until today when UPS showed up at my door with a box. It had a new copy of the game as well as a refund check for the shipping!

All in all I must say that I am extremely pleased with the customer service I received from this company. I will be making sure to purchase new The Sims 2 games in the future.

The one time I had to call them, I have to say, their service impressed me also. VH.

I was impressed also. I waited on hold maybe 10 minutes and the rep. was really personable and even cracked a couple jokes with me. I called tech. support for other stuff and they treated me like I was an idiot because I was having an issue.

Super I let my son play the sims 2 with me. He has his own little sim that has a dog. He built his own house and his sim has a job. It's really nice to watch him play.

Principissa, thanks for the info. I am "not with it" according to the grandkids but will ask them about the Sims. Right now our grand daughter is really into the "Pet Shop" games/toys so that's my current level of expertise in kid's games. Can't believe how much kid's games and toys cost now.

Thank you Ken.

Super, my son wants the lego starwars deathstar for christmas. I told him that it was 100.00 and he's like no it's not it's 99.99, that's not 100 mommy. Not only are they expensive but they are so high tech you need a pc geek to figure half of them out! What ever happened to them liking pots and wooden spoons!

And good old Tupperware. LOL

I tell you what super, I had a cabinet in the kitchen devoted to the kids tupperware toys. I would cook, they would play with tupperware that was missing lids. Now they need all this expensive stuff and I feel like telling the two of them to get a job.

My grandson asks me to buy him something. I tell him well let's go in the yard and do some work to earn the money.
He says "I'll go ask nana, she will get it for me".
