All-Star Nissan of Devon, PA Informative - Bait and Switch - Nissan Rogue

Review by libertylady on 2007-10-27
DEVON, PENNSYLVANIA -- I went to All-Star Nissan in Devon, PA to buy a new Rogue. They supposedly found a car 90 miles away and I gave them a deposit and waited almost TWO weeks for them to tell me they couldn't secure the vehicle. They were aware that I was selling mine to a private buyer and would be without a car. They kept me off the market for those two weeks and then asked me if I would accept another color combination. I said no. This was all told to me at the last minute the day I was to give my car to a private buyer. I called Mike Sloane twice, the owner of the agency, and he never called me back. He was there during the buying process and negotiations but once the deposit was given I never heard from him again. The other salesman involved told me I didn't have anything to worry about throughout this time period.

Well, I had a lot to worry about....I sold my car and I was furious that they kept me in the dark and tried to switch me to another vehicle at the last minute. Stay away from this agency.

Seems typical of car dealers now days. A plain, honest car sale deal wouldn't be any fun to them I guess.

When I was in for service I was shown a Nissan Rogue while waiting for my car to be finished, you must have not known the Rogue was a new release and probably hard to get. I don't believe they would ever try to pull bait and switch on anyone. This dealership has gone above an beyond for me, and you must just have a bad buying experience at another dealership and took it out on them.

Your experience was not mine. Thank you for your opionion but if you think I was naive not to know the Rogue was hard to get you are wrong and how interesting that I called Fred Beans Nissan in Doylestown and within 5 days had the color and car I wanted and was treated respectfully throughout the process. By the way....my father was a car dealer!!! My opinion about All-Star Nissan stands.

I feel they do a great job. Obviously they have to go out and find u a vehicle at another dealership who is willing to give it to them. Sounds like u feel all car dealership are out to get you and on top of that u had a difficult situation with being out of a car. Maybe you should have just got your deposit back instead of waiting 2 weeks and just gone to fred beans.
