ATA Airlines Complaint - ATA Never Fly
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- As a world traveler, I had my worst experience in terms of safety, customer service and ineptitude of my 57 years, with ATA airlines. Not only did the plane have to make an emergency landing, but they then attempted to jerry rig the flaps which the pilot then refused to board. At no time did the airlines give us information about what was happening, food or water and treated us like cattle, shuttling us from one airport to another. At 2am when we finally arrived at Chicago, our midway destination, we were given lodging and transportation vouchers which in small print stated that if accepted, we would have no further claims with ATA. One of the passengers even had to argue to get separate beds for he and his 27 year old daughter, as they had the same last name.
When the passengers, who were flying the following day to various locations, showed Southwest their small strip of paper with the flight time, without numbers which we were given by ATA, none of the flights were correct, none of the times were correct, no names were listed and our luggage “ was not listed.” I felt I was in Bangladesh.
I again state, NEVER FLY ATA, NEVER....
