Sprint Nextel Complaint - Disconnect service but not billing
SPRING, TEXAS -- Last January, my cell phone service was disconnected one month after I started a two year contract. For years before, I was a month-to-month customer of Sprint. Sprint could not reconnect my phone for some reason and after two months I went with another provider. Monthly billing continued and I called each month and a credit was issued on the invoice when the next billing went out. After six or so months of this, I quit calling thinking maybe Sprint could figure it out. BIG MISTAKE. Now I am turned over to a collection agency who harasses me at work and tells me my credit will be ruined. I am 64 and this is my first dealings with a collection agency.
Sprint billed me for the $200 early termination fee but they credited that, too. I think they owe me the $200 because I had to pay an activation fee and buy a new cell phone with the new provider.
