NetZero.Com Complaint - Billed for 30 Day Trial on High Speed
FLORIDA -- About two weeks ago, I downloaded the high speed version of NetZero. I was offered a 30 day free trial. After discovering that I didn't notice any difference and it was hanging up my computer, I decided to discontinue the service. Keep in mind, I'm still within my 30 day "free" trial period. I e-mailed NetZero to discontinue the service. The next day I received a canned e-mail response stating that I needed to call the billing department. After many attempts and constant busy signals, I again e-mailed NetZero. In the meantime, I discovered that NetZero had charged my credit card account $14.95. The $14.95 wasn't supposed to be charged until the 30 free trial had passed. I asked NetZero to refund the $5.00. This was their response,
"NetZero has received your request for a refund on your account, and after careful review of your account history and usage report, it has been determined that your account is not eligible for reimbursement".
What does my history and usage have to do with the 30 day free trial? I want my $5.00 refund. It's not the money, its the principle.
