Kentucky Fried Chicken Informative - Inspector Gadget has something to tell you
I am reading your responses to KFC issues. Well, I inspect restaurants and have a problem with a KFC. They store ready to eat product (RTE) in the walk-in cooler with raw chicken. They are in the process of correcting this. During my inspection there was raw chicken blood on top of the coleslaw lid and the lid is designed to not fit on the container tightly.
Raw chicken can have salmonella and campylobacter in it. With fan blowers circulating air inside, its surprising no one has called and complained for feeling sick after eating there.
The whole store was filthy! More gross than you would want to know... but they are working on it as I type. Folks, if you tasted bleach in the food, its because there probably was bleach in it. Did the store have a health inspection done before the day you ate there? Call your local health department as they have records. If you were sick a few days after eating there, well, you probably have a food borne illness from the restaurant. Incubation period for salmonella is 12-36 hours, and for campylobacteriosis its 2-5 days. If you ever have a problem with a food, go directly to your health department to document.
The actual store may be helpful or they may give you the run-around and try to dodge a lawsuit rather than be honest.
