Air Canada Complaint - Round trip ticket no good
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased a round trip ticket Vancouver to Los Angeles. I left Vancouver Oct 17, 2007 and was to return Oct 21, 2007. I presented the same IDs for both flights. In fact I cleared US customs in Vancouver with same IDs. On October 21, 2007, I was refused passage on the flight because the ID. I attempted to fly on Alaska Air to Vancouver. However, Alaska Air told me only a Canadian carrier could waive the stringent requirements to fly into Canada from USA. Therefore, I purchased a $273.40 ticket to Seattle. When I arrived at Seattle, I attempted to fly to Vancouver. Finally I took a bus to Vancouver. I spent $49 for a bus. Do to delays, weather,Sunday night delays at the border, I arrived at the Airport 12 hours later than I my flight would have arrived. It is impossible to contact Air Canada by telephone, since this is not a future flight, Air Canada only has email and fax. 10 days later, no response.
This was a nightmare. I would not have flown out if Air Canada would have told me I could not return on my round trip ticket. As of today, November 1, 2007, no action.
