Nemet Nissan Complaint - Nissan Dealers - Liars and Manipulators!

Review by onfire on 2007-11-01
NEW YORK -- Its seems that EVERY Nissan dealership in NY area is being trained to be liars and manipulators. I spent 2 days negotiating a deal and going through credit checks (with great credit BTW) when at the end right before signing the deal I was told pay extra $3000k to make the deal happen. I spent 2 days and 8 hours in total time going over the deal step by step and making sure that there were no extra charges at the end and STILL after yessing me to death I got hit with extra fees... I left the dealership Pissed off! not wanting to lease again! after two months I decided to research again and started calling all Nissan dealership to make a deal and every single one of them sang the same song about coming in to make a deal. insisting on getting the numbers worked out over the phone i got a few quotes. Taking the best offer from Koppel Nissan, with promises that all the fees will be rolled into the payment I went over to sign the deal. Guess what happened again, they try to stick ALL the fee that were agreed to be rolled into the payment as upfront in order to make the deal. LIARS! and MANIPULATORS!

ALL the dealers for Nissan are singing the same song and they are all cut throat salesmen, that will screw you ANY chance they get!!!

You might want to do some more research. Leasing is usually a money losing deal for most people. There are certain very specific instances where it might make sense, but it will almost always cost you less to buy a car. Sounds like you are a smart consumer and won't be suckered into a deal. Do some more reading on lease vs buying before you make the final decision. Good luck.

What are you negotiating for 2 days? I never stay more than couple of hours when purchasing a new car.

The dealers want you to come in because if they give you a price over the phone, they fear that you will just call somewhere else and tell the next dealer "Can you beat it?"
In areas where there are multiple dealers selling the same products this is typical. I hate dealing with NY dealers. Every time we dealer trade a car from NY it is almost always damanged. And the Managers are normally arrogant, pompous jerks.

A number of dealers have Internet Sales sites now. You can shop without leaving your PC. If you find something you want at the right price then you just have to go to that dealer. Carmax is a good example of a big Internet Sales site.

stop offering the same uneducated offer. people do the same stupid things at different dealerships and expect different results. do your homework . Dont go to pathmark and tell them you will pay a quarter for a gallon of milk, then when they say no, go to key food and expect a different result!!
