DirecTV Inc Complaint - Fraud with Intent - Fraudulent Practices
WISCONSIN -- I am writing this review in the hope that people will read it and either NOT become a DirecTV customer, discontinue service with DirecTV, or band together to fight against DirecTV and its purposeful, fraudulent practices through a class action lawsuit.
I speculate there are thousands of consumers just like me in this country who have been financially ripped-off and taken advantage of by this satellite provider. I would also guess that many (myself included) have found it frustrating, difficult and time-consuming to fight to get your money back. As a result, we've abandoned the effort leaving the company to profit from our giving up.
Ask yourself the following questions. If you answer yes to any of them, you too are a victim of the fraud perpetrated by DirecTV.
Has DirecTV ever extended your contract without your knowledge?
Have you ever purchased a DirecTV receiver from an electronics store, only to have DirecTV tell you that its theirs?
Has DirecTV ever over-billed you and then sat on your credit for months, only to earn interest off your money?
Has DirecTV ever taken money from your bank account without your prior, written consent, only to put you in a position of not having enough money to make a payment to another creditor?
When calling to dispute a charge, have you ever been put on hold until you are "forced" to hang up after waiting for 45 minutes or more?
When disputing a charge, have you ever been told you need to file mountains of paper work, so you do, but it never goes anywhere within DirecTV?
Have you ever received terrible customer service? After all, this is service you are paying for as part of your monthly bill. Did you get your money's worth?
This list of question could go on-and-on. If you answered yes to any of the above questions, the likelyhood is that DirecTV has in some way used your money (either by collecting interest on it, providing sub-standard service, etc.) for their benefit.
Don't misunderstand, this is America and corporations have the right to profit. However, when the profit comes for misrepresentation or taking money from your bank account without notice or permission, or by making you spend so much time in bureaucracy that it affords them an extra month of interest on your money, then you've been ripped-off and taken advantage off.
This company needs to be stopped. We consumers need to stand up for our rights and protect our hard-earned money from this rip-off artist. We need to band together and fight. We need to file a multi-million dollar class action lawsuit and hold DirecTV accountable for its fraudulent practices. We need to get our money back, with interest.
I plead to all those who have been screwed by this company. Join the fight. Don't sign-up with this company. If you're a current customer NOT under contract, leave the company. If you have unresolved disputes, fight them. Contact your Better Business Bureau, the Consumer Protection Agency, an attorney, anyone who will listen and help you.
If you agree with me, LET'S FIGHT THIS CORPORATE PIG. Thank you for your time.
