Heinold Complaint - Getting ripped off on price

Review by 2002 Audi TT on 2007-11-03
VALPARAISO, INDIANA -- I brought my 2002 Audi TT roadster in for an oil change and spark plug change out. Having been a customer for many years I felt confident in the service I would get. They charged me $28.22 per spark plug, plus the labor to install. When I looked them up the highest price I could find anywhere was $14.58 each, from the Audi dealer. When I called I spoke to Mike who told me that that was their mark up on parts. He also said that is what they paid for the plugs.

I told him to have a good day, and that I, my wife, or my daughter will no longer be customers.

I don't know what you're complaining about? You asked them to service your car. That's what they did. If you were so concerned about the price of parts/labor, you should have found that out beforehand. Lesson learned......hopefully.

But I doubt it.

Find a good reliable independent Audi/VW repair shop that charges a lower shop rate. $28.00@spark plug is excessive, IMHO. There are other brands available besides Bosch: Denso and NGK.
