T-Mobile Complaint - Customer Care doesn't care, T-Mobile is among the worst companies in existance
AMARILLO, TENNESSEE -- I have been a T-Mobile customer for only 5-6 months now, and I can already declare it possibly the worst experience and mistake of my life. I regret the day I ever even had a sliver of a thought about joining with the apathetic monstrosity of a cell phone company. In the beginning, I was enticed by a seemingly good deal, a promotional 1000 anytime minutes and unlimited nights for $39.99/mo. I live hundreds of miles from a T-Mobile retailer, so I needed to be sure I would receive good service in my city and have a local number as well. The customer representative, perhaps lying just to make the sale, ASSURED me that I would have a local number as well as excellent service in my area. At first, I was a little uneasy when he asked if I lived near Dallas, TX, or Lubbock TX. I told him that I live in Amarillo, TX and that he definitely needs to be sure I can be allocated a local number. I didn't want the service if they couldn't manage this small problem. After a short while, he said he had one for me and we made the deal. When I received my phone in the mail, it had a number from Idaho.
How did they screw that one up?? Three states away! I called customer care immediately and this time I spoke to a young woman who was hesitant about telling me what number she could give me. I don't know how many times I told her that I don't live in Lubbock, TX, yet that is the locale my new number belonged to. She lied to me as well. She read off a # with the same area code as mine, and said it was definitely local. It wasn't. Turns out there is no local number for my city. I was screwed over. Seems every time you call customer care, they put a "note" on your file and promise call you back, providing no immediate satisfaction, proposal of a solution, AND breaking their promise. Customer Care will never call you back. Now I have a non local #, which charges my friends and family more to call me from a landline.
On top of this, the technical problems I am experiencing with my phone are horrendous. 80% of my outgoing calls will fail, text messages fail, prompting me to "retry." And when my calls DO go through, the conversation repeatedly cuts in and out, making it nearly impossible to have a conversation. So I find myself paying for phone service that I can not even use. Guess what a supervisor told me? "Let us see what we can do and we will get back to you as soon as we can." I don't know how long ago that was.
Let me just end this by saying T-Mobile is a knife-twisting company who could give two cents about your satisfactory.
