Dish Network Complaint - Dish NETWORK Mover FRAUD
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- The first day I had dish network I realized that they are liars and thieves. My die hard passion for the worldcup cricket 2007 ignored the 150$ deceiet by the dish network.
It all started in Feb'07 when I first subscribed for the dish network thinking that I can enjoy the worldcup and there by continuing my cricket watching passion thru TV.
The technician was scheduled to come to my place to position the new dish and activate my account. Well he came on time and called some one on dish n/w and positioned the dish on my patio, connected to the TV and then handed over his phone to me saying that the dish n/w representative wants to talk to me...then the dish guy blasted the news to me that due to the position of the pation, I couldn't receive the specifi set of channels which are to be subscribed mandatorily for the contract and immidiately gave me suggestion that he can however give me some channels which I subscribed for BUT i need to pay myself for the dish and the receiver which would be a 1 time 150$ charge...having nothing to do I agreed that I would pay that 150 out of my pocket and asked that what if when I move in future..the customer support guy happily told me that 1 billing cycle before moving, I just need to enroll for a 6$ dish home protection plan and they can move it for free.. I thought this is good deal and there goes my 6mnths of happy TV.
Time to move my dish to my new home and as advised before, I enrolled for the 6$ plan, and happily again the cust. support people scheduled my dish mover for Nov 3rd between 12pm and 5pm. I waited waited and waited but no one turns up neither calls of the delay till 6pm and then pissed off, I called the dish n/w to know what was happening. They said they will look into the matter and give me a call back. Ok after 30mins, I received a call from dish n/w saying that they had to re-schedule for Tuesday. I told them that if they can do it now they should or else I want to cancel the account. They offered me that the technician can come at that time of the day..almost 8pm..I agreed for that and the technician finally started assembling the dish and he completed the work at 10pm..thats fine with me..Now my Nightmare starts..The technician calls the dish network talked something and then told me that the dish n/w cust. rep wants to talk to me. The cust.guy now blasts a bomb on me saying that I need to pay 99.95$ for moving the dish or else I need to signup for a 18month contract and need to add dish 500+ package(59$/mnth) to avoid contract and I need to pay extra 59.95$ for the equipment.
So they literally bluffed me by charging 6$ protection plan which is useless, they didn't inform me about the 99.95+59.95$ when I scheduled the dish move and told me once the techie has installed everything.
DISH NETWORK ARE LIARS AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS BEEN OUTSOURCED TO SOME DUMBEST FOOLS ON THE EARTH
