Best Buy Complaint - Best Buy Doesn't Honor it's Warranty Program
Purchased an Ipod from Best Buy and was told by the worker that their optional warranty plan would cover any problems I had with the device. Further, he explained that Ipod's have lots of problems and that for an additional $49 (or something like that) they would replace it.. no questions asked.
Today, I tried to return it because it is having some problems with the display and they refused to replace it. They were kind enough to offer to return it to Apple, and that it would take 3+ weeks but would not replace it.
I have bought 5 Ipods for myself and as gifts, as well as a ton of other electronics from them and will never go back.
Best Buy makes a ton of money off selling these worthless warranty plans, then refuse to pay when something happens. There are a bunch of other retailers eager for your business, so be smart and steer clear of their scam.
