Frontier Communications Complaint - Poor Service - Special Package
CHESTERTOWN, NEW YORK -- One year ago I called Frontier to cancel my account so I could sign up with Time Warner Cable which just came into our area. The lady I got was very nice and told me about a special package that would save me a lot of money. It would include telephone, DSL internet and Dish Network TV all for less than $80. I told her that I would do it but never signed any papers. Well, from then until now was somewhat of a nightmare. The next month I received a bill for over about $170 and I called Frontier to protest. For the next almost 3 months, I spent many nights and numerous hours on the phone to get this corrected. It seemed like every time I called I would get a different person in a different state, although each time I was given the supervisors personal extension. That extension was unavailable or I would leave a message that was never returned. Finally in February, I did get it straight. Well starting the beginning of last summer, we started losing TV stations. I finally contacted Frontier and they put me in touch with a repair company that they subcontract with and we set up a Friday for them to come and repair it. I took off from work that day. I was outdoors when the phone rang around 11:30.
I came in and there was a message that the repair service could not make that day and to call back to reschedule. I did and was informed that it had to be a Monday through Friday. That meant either me or my wife had to take another day off from work. That was when I decided that enough was enough and signed on with Time Warner. This past month I received a bill from Frontier that included a credit that I had plus $900 for early withdrawal form their Special Package.
This is living in the Adirondacks where until several months ago this was all we had for Phone, TV or internet!
