Custom Window and Awning Company Informative - Kitchen Cabinets

Review by Joerv on 2007-11-08
OAK LAWN, ILLINOIS -- I am over 80 yrs old. I signed a contract with this company for new cabinets in a kitchen of an apartment building that I was selling on contract and the guy abandoned the building . They put in the cabinets before asking me to put in the drywall above which I didn't know about. I was not aware that they were going to leave me with big gapping holes in the ceiling. Also when they disconnected the water in the sink, they didn't turn the shutoff off completely and left me with water all over which spilled into the kitchen floor. They tore the soffit in 2 places when taking the cabinets off and will not patch it. They are very deceptive people and are always right. No matter what you say to them, they say you are wrong and they are in the right. The fact that the cabinets were overpriced is my fault, that I know.

I signed a contract with them at a bad time. My husband who is 81 yrs old had just come home diagnosed with liver cancer. Yesterday, they came back to put up the trim and told me that I need to do some plaster work around the edges so that they can make their trim fit. In other words, they want me to do their work. When I agreed to pay $3800.00 for a little kitchen with 5 wall and 4 base cabinets I expected a complete job.

They knew my situation right from the beginning. I need everybody to know about these people who are very deceptive. This is the first time in my life where the customer is always wrong and they are always right.
