Corona Travel Complaint - Double Charged/Refund
CORONA, NEW YORK -- Corona Travel has not issued a refund for a double charge to my credit card on airfare. I first paid this company in full for airfare and hotel in August. After many requests I was finally sent an itinerary in October that looked legit and was told paper tickets had been issued (which I did not request). I was told on several occasions that the tickets were mailed to me, but I never received them. Each time the agent told me she couldn't make them e-tickets and would reprint them or get another set and mail them out. I figured out quickly from Delta that paper tickets can't be reissued without paying again so this was just one lie after another. Finally an envelope arrived on the Tuesday before the Thursday departure with a print out of the same bogus itinerary the woman had emailed me! After many hours on the phone the airline e-tickets were issued around 11pm the day before leaving for the trip.
However, to my surprise (though I shouldn't have been shocked at this point), I found out before boarding the plane that my credit card had been charged AGAIN for the ticket I was traveling on. Now I still haven't received a refund for the double charge despite her multiple verbal claims that she will issue a credit to my card. Of course I don't believe her. I am not the only person with problems with this company. I was one of over 100 guests going to a wedding.
When 70ish of them arrived at the airport they found out they didn't have tickets. I have spent many hours trying to resolve this and will likely spend many more. Stay away from this company!!! What you expect to be a great vacation will turn into a nightmare of lies and deception.
