Keffer VolksWagon Complaint - Reason Car Salespeople Have a Bad Rep!

Review by Screwed Over by Keffer Volkswagon on 2007-11-09
HUNTERSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA -- I purchased a car from Keffer Volkswagon. Guess hind sight is 20/20 due to the terrible things I've heard about these people FOLLOWING THE PURCHASE OF THE CAR. And its all true! They'll say anything to get the sale when you find out they are lying and speak to David, general manager, he will claim that he didn't have anything to do with the lies that were told (No! He's just the General Manager of this group of thugs). He'll invite you to the dealership to make it up to you, then they'll try to get you to turn in the car and rip you off on another, more expensive car after verbally tearing your current one to pieces (the one they sold you, no less).

Funny, this dealership is the only one in Charlotte on the list. Heed my advice or you'll be sorry, too! This team of people are the epitome of why car salespeople have a bad reputation. If anyone wants my car (that actually runs well-I loved it until all the crap that went on) I'll sell it 1/2 off.

By the way, the car that runs well isn't a Volkswagen. For any other proof you need of the character of these people, check out all the comments below of how they're treating a former customer who never called them names or disrespected them in any way. My crime was asking for what was promised to me repeatedly. ITS CUSTOMER APPRECIATION MONTH AT KEFFER. Notice all the time they're spending retorting what I've said with only put downs on me. This is because they have no defense on what I've said. Must be incredibly slow at the dealership.

I'm staying tuned.Maybe more details next time please. What was the nature of the rip off?

So what was it the drew you in to go there?? All the terrible things you heard about them from other people. Just couldn't stay away could ya.

And sales people just saying anything and everything to make a sale and a comission?? No way. I don't believe any of that.

I'm sure everything they lied to you about, is in your written contract right??

Heard the terrible things afterwards. Gosh this response sounds eerily like something that might come out of someone who works there....

Nope, just posting my opinion.

And a fine opinion it is Skye!

Whenever someone uses the phrase that they were "screwed over" the creditability of the accusations are compromised. (In my mind anyway) Whenever I have been involved in these types of situations where a customer is telling me "we screwed them over," most times the situation they are referring to is a case of the customer simply refusing to hold themselves accountable for their own actions....or they want something for free.

What all of you that work there don't understand is that you don't have to lie to make sales unless you have an inferior product (regarding the remark showing sarcastic suprise that a car salesperson has lied). So let me modify my first comment....The salespeople at Keffer will tell you something is included in the car and since they know its not on the contract, will fall back on that. So I guess the best thing a customer can do is audiotape the conversation or not go there at all to avoid the hassle. Even after calling the dealership 3 TIMES to verify the feature was included in the car they still said it was. AND when contacting various regulatory agencies (that means agencies that oversee organizations for conducting business illegally or unethically for the employee who didn't understand what "hindsight" meant), they all asked what the deal is with this dealership lately as they have received several complaints. SOUNDS LIKE A PLACE I'D LIKE TO PURCHASE A CAR.... You guys can respond til you're blue in the face. What happened was wrong. Dennis apologized profusely as did the general manager. I hope the same thing happens to your daughters some day.

Oh by the way, keep logging in to read this PLEASE. Everytime you add something to the discussion it gets pushed further to the front when someone does a search for Keffer VW. At this rate, it will be on the first page of the search!

Sounds like you were run through the ringer. That's too bad. You should go to the Volkswagon Dealership on South Blvd. in Pineville. I worked with Sean, don't know if he's still there. He was very honest and helpful. Good luck!

Screwed over, why are you talking to yourself?? Forget to switch handles when posting this comment to yourself??

Are you the same person who didn't know what hindsight meant?
Posted by Skye on 2007-11-11:
Screwed over, still talking to yourself?

That's exactly what you wrote in your review, "hindsight". Here is the beginning of your complaint in case you try to edit it out:
I purchased a car from Keffer Volkswagon. Guess hind sight is 20/20 due to the terrible things I've heard about these people.

Now change your handle, and keep talking and commenting to yourself. You task me so.

You guys accusing me of lying? Isn't that a bit like the teapot calling the kettle black? Why don't you guys forward me the receipt showing you ordered the radio you claimed showed up and "didn't work." As much as I'd love to keep going with you, I have a real job. Shouldn't you guys be cavorting on what else you can do to deceive your customers? You guys can argue with yourselves. From the sounds of it, the mentally handicapped person I drive to school could make better sense. My point has been made, A LOT of people agree and I'm done. Good luck to all of you.

As Carlos Mencia would say:

Yes honey, keep talking to yourself, and hallucinating that your complaint is about a non-working radio.

Just one last thing... Do a search for Keffer Volkswagen on Dell Search Assistant and look what shows up! I'm out. Good luck to all of you!

Appears you need the luck. You're the one who purchased a vehicle from them.

Over and out.
