DirecTV Inc Complaint - Before you get Direct TV let me Direct You!!!
DETROIT, MICHIGAN -- I am not the type of person that likes contracts of any kind but I decided to give Direct TV a try.I was told that I would have to pay $39 for the first two months then I would pay $29.00 for the next 10 months. When I got my first bill and it didn't reflect what I signed up for I called them.Of course they'd never heard of that deal and didn't know who would tell me that.#2- 9/07 I went on line to pay my bill and it said I owed $36 so I paid. The next month the bill was $10 more because their website was wrong.I saw on my bill that when I cancel my service with D-TV that thay would take the money off the card. I called them to tell them not to do that if I was to ever cancel and they said that they would note my account of that but they really didn't.
I canceled on 10/28 on 10/29 they called me and asked did I want to pay by c-card I said no send me the final bill first. The service hadn't been off 24 hrs and they were calling for money. On 11/5 they took 135.00 off of my c-card ( my bank allowed it although I told my bank not to when they sent a memo to the bank requesting $135.00 and I only had $4 dollars in my account and my bank allowed it and now wants to charge me $125 for an overdraft they allowed. On 11/8 I received my final bill from D-TV and to no surprise my bill was $ 135 when it should have only been $75(early cancellation $12 month, and they forgot to tell me that they wanted the $75 all at once not paying a bill every month for 6 months at $12 a month) plus $43- $118 not $135.The rep on the phone said that the tech who came out should have told me that if I cancel early they would take it off of my c-card. Why would we telling me that, that would only cause him and his box to be returned to sender.
They sent me a letter stating that they look forward to having me as a customer again are you kidding me I'd rather have leprosy.
