Iromwood Communications Complaint - Gross incompetence
MORRISON, COLORADO -- I signed up for DIRECTV and, based on info from friends and this web site, I specified I did not want Ironwood to do the installation. They noted my request but failed to tell me that was the only option. First appointment: nobody showed up or called. I called the installation center twice during the specified installation time period and they claimed they tried to contact the local office but couldn't get a response. I rescheduled for two days later and 2 hours into the 4 hour appointment period I get a call telling me they didn't have the right equipment to do the install but would be getting it in that night so I needed to reschedule and they would mark it as high priority. Two hours into the third appointment I get another call telling me again that they don't have the right equipment to do the install so I should reschedule a 4TH TIME! I told them to forget it. I'm canceling my subscription with DIRECTV because of their incompetence. I called DIRECTV and spoke to a supervisor and told her that either they provide another installer or I'm canceling. Since they apparently can't use anybody else, I canceled.
I can get DIRECTV through a different source that uses their own, local installers, which is what I'm going to do. Ironwood is pathetically incompetent and obviously doesn't know the meaning of customer service.
