Buick Informative - Onstar
I have been driving GM vehicles since 1955 and my last 3 vehicles have been park avenue Buicks with the last one being a 2005. Davis Pontiac Buick have been my service provider ever since they opened their doors in Lethbridge Alberta Canada and I have never experienced better service anywhere. I was totally disappointed when GM announced the discontinuation of of that model as it gave me everything I wanted in an automobile, especially the size, comfort, ride and economy.
Onstar is an excellant feature of my last two Buicks that I have learned to rely on. Unfortunately after December 31 my anolog service will be discontinued even though this service will be offered in North America until September of 2008. In spite of repeated attemps by myself and my dealer no one can tell me why my cars system can be converted. The only response is that my specific system cannot be upgraded even at my own expense.
This is not the truth and GM has just decided that these systems will not be upgraded. I have supported the American auto industry for over 50 years having just bought only one Japanese vehicle in the 100 or so vehicles I have purchased.
You are turning your back on the customers that have supported GM and built the company and I feel you will go the way of International Harvester.
