K-Mart Complaint - Purchase - Online Order
TAMARAC, FLORIDA -- A month ago I placed an order online for a 3pc dinette set. The product was on sale and the site clearly stated that the item was in stock, it also stated that it would leave the warehouse in about two weeks. After 3 weeks I called to find out the status and was told by the rep that the order was valid but because it was being handled directly by the manufacturer she could not give me any info about its arrival. Two weeks after that I called again and was told the same thing, when I insisted that it should have arrived and that I had guests arriving the following week, the very reason why I purchased the item in the first place, she sent it to be investigated and said I would get an email. 2 days later I received two emails one said that they ran out of stock and were cancelling my order. The other said, that my order was cancelled due to system error, and would I like to place the order again. When I called to clarify I asked to speak with a manager, who was very apologetic and said they didn't have anymore.
Though that was bad enough, the fact that no one bothered to let me know is what pisses me off. They wasted my time for a month, I could have gotten the item elsewhere. After some yelling, all she could offer me was $10 gift card or 10% off another order which would never get here in time, I hung up on her. I used to love K-mart, shopped there for years, it has been going steadily downhill for a while along with my opinion of it.
After this experience I will never shop there again.
